While we're at it, let's mock the anti-gay bigots, too!

Courtesy of Thers through his guest spot this morning at Eschaton, here's the best parody yet of that ridiculous "Gathering Storm" ad.

Yes, that's the lovely and talented Watertiger appearing first, saying "there's a storm gathering."

I've mostly been focusing on mocking the dumbass teabaggers so far this morning (via Twitter), but why stop there? The Right gives us a veritable plethora of easy targets ...

New Huggy Bear commercial

My hardcore Atriot friends have already seen this, but for the rest of you, it's a Can't Miss.

Kudos to Thers, watertiger, and Dan McEnroe for outstanding work on this, the newest Huggy Bear campaign commercial, "The TRUTH About Barack Obama."

Good thing I don't have a sister. Or not.

Write what you know

Apparently Jenna Bush's new children's book has an interesting, um, twist. Probably from personal experience, I imagine.

Don't take my word for it. Go read the excerpts.

As long as we're looking at pictures today, and since this here is a Florida blog, here's one uncovered (pun intended) by the lovely and talented watertiger of Dependable Renegade:

First views of D.C.

Sitting in Starbucks along Pennsylvania Avenue at about 9th St. NW, and preparing to meet my peeps at a nearby Metro stations.

The barricades are up, the police are out in force, and the "Support the Troops" wackos are everpresent and far more numerous than I ever anticipated.

Apparently the rally is continuing up by the White House, so I probably won't see marchers for about an hour. But so far it's all flag-wavers ... even saw a Swift Boat Vietnam Vets T-shirt on a large, bearded guy. I opted not to engage him in conversation ...

Ah, more Atriots just arrived ... watertiger and Culture of Truth are here! Holy shit - the world-famous Steve Simels just arrived and he's looking over my shoulder this very moment!

Fun and frolicking ... until we get thrown in jail, I guess.

Inspirational poster, Duggar-style

You know, "Duggar-style" looks suspiciously like "doggie-style." But I digress ...

Last week Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar made their home the fourth largest city in Arkansas with the arrival of their 17th child, Jennifer Danielle. All of their children's names begin with the letter "J," which makes me wonder how it was possible that it took them 17 kids to get to one of the most common "J" names in America. Oh, maybe it's because they had "Jinger" first.

Anyway, here's a great idea for a poster they should have in their home (suitable for framing):

Atlas Juggs hearts John Bolton

The Mustache Rider rides again ... or does she?

Kudos to NTodd of Dohiyi Mir (the non-existent blog) and to a certain aquatic feline from Dependable Renegade. This perfectly captures the rank hypocrisy and obsequious prattling of Ms. Atlas.

Although the lighting and sound could have been a little better ...
