Obamarama: Preliminary speeches
Dave Aronberg: Our country is at a crossroads, looking for true leadership now. "I endorsed him early on because I felt he was a different breed of politician. ... he is the antidote to the hyper-partisanship we've already seen."
"On every major issue, Sen. McCain is indistinguishable from George W. Bush."
Clearly, Aronberg and the other speakers are setting up exactly what I suggested this morning: Obama is a friend of Israel ... we cannot afford a third Bush term ... we cannot afford a Huggy Bear victory.
"John McCain is just George W. Bush with a better personality and a better command of the English language."
Have you been getting the e-mails? Aronberg asked. And are you going to believe the anonymous e-mails, or are you going to believe Congressman Robert Wexler? "Any friend of Robert Wexler is a friend of mine."
Leading Jewish scholar: "Barack Obama has passed every test about Israel that he needs to pass." Obama, says Aronberg, will not concede Florida. In fact, it's significant that he came here directly from the win in Oregon that gave him a majority of pledged delegates.
