Obama vs. Clinton, by the numbers
I really hate to pile onto Hillary Clinton, who I think would be a fine President and certainly better than the dessicated, goiter-ridden near-corpse Huggy Bear. But I can't help but notice the stark difference in terms of expected attendance numbers for her appearances in south Florida as compared with those of Barack Obama:
But the main event for Obama is the rally at the BankAtlantic Center [on Friday].Granted, these are anticipated numbers, not actual ... but still, planning for 20,000 is a lot different than planning for 400.
Sunrise Deputy Mayor Roger Wishner, an Obama supporter, expects 20,000 people to jam the facility that's more known for its pro hockey games and major concerts. Doors open at 2 p.m., and Obama hits the stage at 3:30 p.m.
Security will be in place, so supporters should avoid carrying large bags or umbrellas. All roads around the area will remain open, said Sunrise Police Chief John Brooks said. He doesn't expect traffic delays.

In Boca Raton, Marvin Manning, the president of the Democratic Club of Century Village, said Clinton isn't expected to draw a crowd large enough to fill the 1,200-seat auditorium.
The New York senator is expected to be a bigger draw in Sunrise, where there'll be an ice cream social. Al Smith, 78, who helped arrange her visit, said about 400 people are expected.
"As long as there is a slim hope that she can still be the Democratic nominee, we are still holding on to that," said Smith.
Sorry, Sen. Clinton, but Barack Obama's candidacy appears to be more than a campaign ... it's a movement.
