Blast Off! Radio today at 4:00 pm EDT: Welcome Sarah Palin to America's Glans™!

Yes, it's true: Republican vice presidential candidate, Alaska governor, and all-around sweet gal Sarah Plain and Tall Palin is in Florida today and tomorrow ... and tonight she'll be right here in south Florida, raising an estimated $1 million for the GOP cause in Boca Raton at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. (I'm still debating about whether or not I'll be there myself, greeting her with my moose gear on, but stay tuned for that ...)

Sarah's gracing us with her presence for one reason only: money. The public rallies are being held elsewhere in the state, in such GOP-friendly locales as Clearwater, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, and Pensacola. But just because her visit to our area is craven opportunism and greed at its best doesn't mean we can't welcome her with open antlers ... I mean, arms ... tonight -- and we can kick it off with Blast Off! Radio this afternoon!

Other topics of note will include a last-ditch reminder to get you registered to vote, a look at Democratic gains in voter registration in Florida, and a further examination of the $700 billion buyout that, I guess, makes the nation safe for oil barons and bank executives once again.
