Four years of suck: it's Blast Off!'s blogiversary

On August 7, 2004, I finally succumbed to Wes' urging and the need to express my outrage over repeated, incessant Republican hypocrisy, and I started this humble, sucky blog. The first day included posts about:

• starting a blog
• bumper stickers
• Drunky McStagger and college legacies
• Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty and Bruce Springsteen
• a now-defunct Caption Contest
• Iraq
• trust and the '04 election
  
• then-Cubs pitcher Greg Maddux's 300th win

And now, in 2008, Republicans are still a bunch of fuckin' hypocrites, I'm well into my 40s, and Blast Off! still sucks more than the suckiest suck that ever sucked.

Truth be told, I'm having a great time here. And I hope you are, too. Thank you all for enduring reading Blast Off!, commenting, and making this a thoroughly enjoyable community of snark and substance.
