Dead cat blogging?

Okay, I know that's probably an offensive post title. But it's meant to highlight what I think is an offensive item I saw in the newspaper today.

I'm in Evansville, Indiana this weekend. Here's the masthead of today's local paper, the Courier & Press:

Now, I know we have a lot of lefty bloggers who are cat owners (er, subjects) and lovers ... so I thought that graphic was especially egregious.

Maybe it's not huge in the grand scheme of things, and maybe I'm overreacting, but damn ... this seems to be really over the top. If you agree, maybe you'd want to share your thoughts with Courier & Press graphic artists Larry Fink and Mark Coomer.
