It's not the years, it's the mileage

Or in this case, it's the hits on a sucky blog out of America's Wang™.

Blast Off! proudly welcomed visitor #200,000 today, amid much pomp and circumstance and nobody noticed. Why, that's enough people to fill a stadium that seats 200,000!

No, seriously, it's a big milestone for me. It took almost four years to reach this point, but only -- some of you are going to love this -- 8½ months* since crossing the 100,000 threshold last August.

The 200,000th visitor stopped in at 12:17 pm EDT today, visiting from a Los Angeles, Calif., county office via the lovely and talented Avedon Carol's link on The Sideshow. Congratulations! A lovely Blast Off! gift pack is on its way to you would be yours if there were such a thing.

Anyway, thank you, L.A., and everyone else who reads Blast Off! ... I'm glad you're here.

* Among my blogfriends and others, especially the Eschaton gang, I'm remembered (fondly or otherwise) for rather prominently getting a, um, significant question wrong on a certain game show last year, the correct answer to which was the Fellini movie 8½. Now you know, too. So shut the hell up. ;)
