My neighbor, Rush Limbaugh, hates America's Wang™
Hoo boy, my drug-addled neighbor Rush gets the smackdown but good in today's Palm Beach Post, courtesy of columnist Frank Cerabino:
"They are deranged," [Limbaugh] said on his radio show this week, claiming that an alarming number of Palm Beach County residents are "devoid of any rationality or reason."Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.
Apparently, this is because we're high on something.
"They've drunk the Kool-Aid down here, folks, and they drink it every day," Limbaugh told his audience.
I know what you're thinking: Wasn't Limbaugh the guy who got busted for the drugs?
Hate to quibble, but it's not like we're the ones who had to cop a plea on a drug charge and whiz into a cup for 18 months.
You know, Frank's absolutely right. You know what they say: people who live in glass rehab clinics shouldn't throw stones.
Even so, we're apparently so horrible that it has made Limbaugh a virtual prisoner in his oceanfront Palm Beach home. You know what, Rush? I heartily encourage you to take your filth and your decadence and your OxyContin and your lying ass elsewhere, and leave us normal, reality-based people alone.
"It's one of the reasons I don't cross the bridge here much," Limbaugh told his radio audience, "except ... to like go to the airport and get out."
You see? Limbaugh wants to get out.
It might not be such a bad idea.
Sometimes, when you go into a place where you don't belong and encounter a hostile population that doesn't share your world view, the best thing to do is get out.
And you can take your pal Ann Coulter with you.
